I had everything ready, I even made pictures of all stages and they will be posted on FB later, but in the end had to leave the almonds off because one of the cousins is allergic. So it is just lemon peel. It was exactly as it should be: crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, not too sweet because of the lemon curd and I ate just a bit too much of it... :-( Why?? Because it was delicious!
