This cake is so moist, and considering it has no butter in it, that's quite something. I particularly enjoy the subtle flavour of the pears. Best enjoyed with a cup of strong coffee... but call it a "tea loaf" and you'll feel only half the guilt when polishing it off (all by yourself)!
