I made this delectable cake for my darling mother’s birthday. Of all the cakes I suggested as a possibility, this was the one that caught her attention. It’s always risky baking a new recipe for a special occasion, but in Nigella we trust. I’ve never been disappointed by any of her cakes before, so I went ahead and made it without trepidation. Boy oh boy, it did not disappoint. Everyone loved it, especially the birthday girl. Thank you, Nigella, for yet another winning recipe.
