When I was a girl, I loved making scones. By age 13 or 14, I had my process perfected! These reminded me of that time. The balsamic was a new trick for me! I might use buttermilk instead of heavy cream in the dough next time and save the heavy cream all for the topping! I thought Nigella would approve of the fact that I ate this for breakfast. #nigellaapproved
