I made the cake a tad smaller as the tin size I had was one inch below required and added honeycomb to the top of the cream to make it like the centre of the nest with straw and give it extra dimension. I made the banner with butchers twine and cake pop sticks and wrote in modern calligraphy each letter with ink on Japanese floral paper I had lying around. I couldn't get mini eggs so I bought m and m versions and rose gold galaxy eggs to add variation.We also had enough for an extra mini version but put that in the freezer! Light as a feather was just the treat we needed to make it feel extra special on Easter Sunday.
