I made this cake for darling Partner's neice's 2nd Birthday party. It seemed only fitting to have it decorated with childish delights like a ring of black cats guarding the perimeter, snakes swirling in the middle, with bats, cats, bones, pumpkins, and ghosts in amongst it all. The cake itself was beautiful, it wasn't too sweet. I didn't have black food colouring for the icing so I added a small amount of melted dark chocolate to the other ingredients. It was delightfully sweet and paired well with the cake itself.
