I am not an experienced bread baker but I tried both the No-Knead Black Bread at Christmas and the Old-Fashioned Sandwich Loaf and both recipes were a joy to follow. I found them fast and very easy to make with exceptionally mouthwatering results. I especially enjoyed having that just-baked-bread aroma filling the house after baking the Old-Fashioned loaf. My family found that there was no one favourite way to enjoy this loaf, we have used it to make some ham sandwiches at tea (Nigella's Christmas ham), Avocado toast, toast soldiers or just plain toasted bread with butter. Watching Cook Eat Repeat and baking during lockdown has been a great way to keep busy and escape from COVID. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Nigella for another brilliant set of recipes and all the good food we enjoy as a result.
