What I love about Nigella recipes are that it lends themselves for working with what you have. Case in point: I was so eager to attempt this bread I didn't even check to see if I had the proper ingredients! I was short on bread flour, so in went a cup of whole wheat flour. Then, when I opened my fridge I found no spoilt milk or any milk to be exact! There was however spoilt half & half, but of course not enough. I dolloped the difference in crème fraîche and mixed it in. Happily, it worked. Once again, never let down by a Nigella recipe! Absolutely delicious and so good I didn't need to add a thing to eat it. I just sliced and ate it plain. Perfection.
