The hearts are for the very best yeasted loaf I have made. Third or is it fourth time of baking this loaf and I experimented by using 100g of rye flour & 400g of strong white bread. It is very light and springy with a delicious flavour. Wonderful toasted or just sliced, we ate this ecstatically with our morning coffee, thickly spread with butter and a choice of home made quince jelly, last year’s home grown strawberry conserve or our favourite Marmite. Delightful dough to handle, behaves impeccably and tastes sensational. An all round winner.
