This cake, made for a lockdown birthday to celebrate in our bubble, absolutely hit us with both flavour and laughter. The choice was simple: the cakes looked nothing less than a luxurious peanut butter cup, and boy, were we in for some decadent tasting! This is visually such a great cake, but not one for the fainthearted! We ate the whole of it without feeling guilty in less than 2 days! Conclusion: we want more...but not right away! The longing for his cake needs to build up, so the cake can completely sweep you off your feet again, sweet enough for a couple of months of longing. I’d made the 2 tier one since we were only three, and added a light splash of coffee to the cake, in order to break the earthquake sweetness of it.
