February 2021 Entries

I was very excited to see this cake as the February cookalong recipe, as it’s my birthday month and I’ve been eyeing up this cake ever since the promos for Cook Eat Repeat. So, of course I baked it for my own birthday! I didn’t have tier cake tins but I did want a tall cake so I multiplied the recipe 1.5x to make 3 layers. I also made some peanut praline which I blitzed into a powder to dust in between the layers and on top of the cake, and decorated with additional praline pieces and gold leaf. I absolutely loved this cake, and so did everyone I shared it with (my favourite review was ‘it tastes like a fluffy peanut’!)
