I wanted to make this beauty with a different icing so I used an Italian meringue. The luscious dollops set off the cake perfectly when I torched the top into toasted brown swirls. The flavor perfectly complimented the complex depth of the chocolatey cake. It was a wonderful finish to our traditional St. Patrick's meal and will be included every year from now on. Simply lovely!
