I made a lazy version of this cake. I used canned pears, which give a bit more moisture to the cake. I didn't find any rose water or petals for that matter so I didn't use any. I also don't like apricot so I cut a but in that too - went to baby food department in the store and got peach mash. Delicious! A little mascarpone on the side perhaps? A pinch on cardamom would raise this to another level.
