Today is my birthday and decided to bake this Vanilla Layer Cake with Ermine Icing that I made for the first time! The vanilla cake is so fluffy and buttery - I used all butter as I ran out of vegetable shortening and I used also vanilla sugar to add that delicious flavor. I'm in love with the Ermine icing! I will definitely make this buttercream again for my other cakes. Thank you for this recipe!
