Midsummer is one of the biggest events of the year and this was the perfect festive dessert for a midsummer feast! I used also rasberries and blueberries because they're starting to be in season. The pepper gives a nice little kick to the meringue and the creamy topping with all those luscious berries gave a perfect fresh finishing touch. The rosewater is really uncommon in my country so I had to make my own from the roses from my neighbours garden (with her permission of course) and it turned perfectly good. And you can also make the meringue beforehand and put the topping just before serving!
