This month’s Cookalong is Nigella’s Apple and Blackberry Kuchen. It is a yeast dough base topped with seasonal blackberries, chopped apple, and then sprinkled with almonds. Don’t worry if making a yeast dough sounds time consuming, as you can leave this dough to rise gently overnight in the fridge. If cooking apples are hard to come by in your area, then you could use Granny Smith apples. But any apple with a sharp flavour would work for this recipe.
