Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich, aka The Honeys, make and write about just the sort of food I want to eat: welcoming, abundant, and with as much heart as flavour. That is very much their trademark style at their restaurants and in their previous books, and this, their latest book (for me I think perhaps their best yet) is crammed cosily with relaxed, approachable, eat-me-now Middle-Eastern and Middle-Eastern-inspired food, from the straightforward to the more involved. Already bookmarked are the white chocolate chip, currant and orange cookies, Arayes (spiced minced lamb wodged into pita and griddled), steak fatoush salad with grapes and tomatoes, tahini cake with lemon and white chocolate, and so, so much more. But I had to bring you this baked goat’s cheese wrapped in walnut pastry with fig relish. You can surely see why….
