Simple Bannoffee Pie

A very easy dessert that keeps well and is beautiful for any occasion.


Serves: 4-6

  • 1 packet digestive biscuits
  • butter (to bind)
  • 1 bunch banana (ripe)
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • cream (for whipping)
  • chocolate curls (to decorate)

You can adjust this recipe to make your favourite layer the thickest! It's not an exact science, so some trial and error may be required!

  • Start by making the toffee, by boiling the whole tin of condensed milk (still in the tin) in a pan of water. This takes about 2 hours, but when done it will keep in the fridge.
  • Crush the biscuits into crumbs and us melted butter to bind into a soft mixture. Line your tin (preferably with a removable bottom) with this mixture.
  • Next spread the toffee over the base to cover. (Be careful when opening the tin if it's still hot!)
  • Slice your bananas and layer them into the toffee.
  • Finally top with whipped cream (piped if you're artistic!) and chocolate curls. Set in the fridge for at least an hour and enjoy.
