Coconut Hara Murg Tikka

Introduction

A less spicy and yummy variation to the chicken tikka, cooked in a jiffy in the microwave.

Ingredients

Serves: 4-6

  • ½ kilogram chicken (boneless, cut into pieces)
  • ½ grated coconut (divided into portions)
  • 2 chopped onions
  • mint
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt (to taste)
  • cilantro
  • green chilli paste

Method

  • Marinate chicken in mint paste for 1 hr.
  • In a separate bowl cook onions in a few drops of oil on high for 4 minutes. Remove half the onions and add to one portion of coconut and make a paste.
  • In a separate bowl, add remaining onions and chicken, cook on high for 3 minutes.
  • Add second portion of coconut and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Add rest of ingredients and cook on power 60 for 12 minutes.

    Serve with mint chutney to enhance the flavour!
