Hi, I'm desperately looking for a scrumptious chocolate cheese cake recipe. One you do not have to bake but just chill in the fridge. Somehow baked cheese cakes just don't have the right taste or texture in my mouth. I once tasted one which was made with white chocolate but can't find a recipe for it. Hope you can help. Thanks!

Nigella doesn't have a no-bake chocolate cheesecake, though she does have a particularly good baked one in Feast (p298, and see link below). We would also recommend trying Nigella's Nutella Cheesecake (link below). It is very easy to make and although it is chocolate and hazelnut (sometimes called gianduja) instead of pure chocolate it is really delcicious and could be served with the chocolate sauce from the baked chocolate cheesecake. The Nutella cheesecake is quite soft so only remove it from the fridge just before serving and you may find it easier to slice with a sharp knife that has been dipped in water.

We suspect that you could adapt Nigella's Cherry Cheesecake from Nigella Express (p81) to make a white chocolate cheesecake by adding some melted white chocolate to the filling. You would need to very gently melt some white chocolate with a little of the cream then beat this into the cream cheese before folding in the whipped cream. However you would need to bring the cream cheese up to room temperature before using as if you try to add melted chocolate to cold cream cheese then the chocolate would probably harden before it blended into the cream cheese.
