How Do I Remove A Rococoa Cake from A Fixed-Base Cake Pan?

Full question

I have made the Rococoa Cake several times before but always in a springform tin as suggested. But I accidentally used the wrong tin, what do I do?

Nigella's Rococoa Cake (from FEAST) is a chocolate sponge that is layered with a creamy mascarpone filling and topped with a chocolate glaze. If you have a fixed base tin then for the sponge cake part prepare the tin as described and turn the cake out onto a wire rack after it has baked.

For the assembly, line the base and sides of the pan with food wrap. Assemble the cake in the pan, cover and chill overnight. To unmould the cake, remove any covering and put a plate or cake board over the top of the cake and and invert the tin so that the cake drops onto the plate. Peel away the food wrap and ice the cake. If you haven't lined the cake tin then run a palette knife in between the tin and the cake to loosen the edges completely, put a plate over the tin and invert the tin. The cake will hopefully drop out in once piece, but if some is left in the tin then you may be able to reassemble the cake on the plate and then hide any imperfections with the chocolate glaze and a generous amount of decoration.
