Marzipan for Simnel Cake

I am baking the Simnel Cake in Feast but am confused by the measurements in the recipe - it says to use a 20cm round tin but to roll the marzipan out to a circle 23cm in diameter. Is one of these measurements wrong?

Nigella's Simnel Cake (from Feast and on the Nigella website) is a light fruit cake that is filled and topped with layers of marzipan. It was originally in the UK made for Mothering Sunday but nowadays is very popular as a cake for Easter.
Unfortunately there was a printing error in earlier editions of Feast and we apologize for any confusion this has caused. The marzipan circle that is rolled out to fill the centre of the cake should be 20cm/8 inches in diameter (you could use the cake tin as a guide). The correct version of the recipe appears on Nigella's website.
