Where can you get butterscotch morsels, as used in the Banana Butterscotch Muffins?
Nigella's Banana Butterscotch Muffins (from NIGELLA EXPRESS) use mini butterscotch chips, sometimes sold as butterscotch morsels or butterscotch baking chips. It is easiest to find these on-line and we would suggest searching for the Nestle Toll House, Hershey or Lieber's brands.
However, you can make the muffins with alternatives to the butterscotch morsels. Nigella mentions chocolate chips as an alternative and you can use dark (bittersweet), milk or white chocolate chips as you prefer. In the UK you can also now buy a wide variety of possible alternative chips, chunks or morsels, such as salted caramel, toffee, fudge and honeycomb. So use whichever you like and can find easily.
