I made these for a family brunch, then sat and watched in amazement as they were snatched, slathered in both butter & jam and, one by one, greedily consumed. That's how you know you've got a killer recipe to hand (all I did differently was soak the dried fruit in some orange juice so that they would remain damp and tender in the heat of the oven).
