As I hand mixed the dough (no processor), I was impressed with how easily it was to work with this recipe. After the cookies were set, I tweaked the icing with fresh squeezed lemon juice instead of rosewater; this gave my finished cookies a big thumbs up from my husband as he said each bite was refreshing yummier than the last. Overall, this recipe will remain in my arsenal of favorites.
