as someone who is not the biggest fan of stout, this cake definitely opened my eyes to the array of pungent, dark malty sweetness that stout can provide. truly named as the 'dark majesty' and owning up to the honour, this cake is something different of a normal frosted cake. It is utterly smooth, slightly sweet, with a perfectly balanced bitterness. Throughly making it a delight to the tastebuds that bet to experience such unique goodness. the mellow yet sharp tastes of the stout coats elegantly with the rich chocolate cake. Accompanied with the most glorious, bright, velvety cream cheese icing which truly complements the ever so eminent theme of black and white. Creating a facade of utter lavishness that is captured by such a simple treat. Absolutely perfect for those who would rather 'eat the drink' to celebrate the virtuous yet immensely amusing day that is st. Patricks day.
