The delicious and unexpected flavour of the Chocolate Guinness Cake is the best treat to celebrate St Patrick's Day. On my version of this recipe more cream cheese is added to the frosting, along with a hint of lime zest to enhance its sharpness against the richness of the cake. The batter gets a massive boost with the addition of just half a teaspoon of espresso powder to give to the cake a more rounded taste and an Irish-cream vibe.
