I have to say, whenever I want to bake a cake for anyone, this has been my favourite go-to Nigella recipe since forever. Consistently delicious in its simplicity, but always so easy to glam up for any occasion. This may be cheating by sending a collage of my most recent bakes, but they are all made using this batter splattered recipe page from Nigella's 'Domestic Goddess' book... though I think I've finally memorised it now! :) ~Yum!~
