Our biscuit cutter was larger than that suggested in the recipe and as such, yielded only seven custard cream sandwiches. But there's nothing wrong with having a big heart. Certainly our bellies agreed! We loved the homely scents of custard and biscuits coming from the oven as they baked, and their melt-in-the-mouth deliciousness. Made with love and enjoyed with a comforting cup of hot tea with my nanna who reminisced of eating Custard Creams in England as a child.
