Nigella has made this classic Victoria Sponge for years & now I will be too. The recipe was simple for a fairly last minute get together using lots of pantry & fridge staples. I used strawberries as they are currently in season down under & are beautifully ripe, sweet & abundant. It was a cake that looked beautiful, was light & a delight to eat.
