  • 1 can green lentils
  • 300 grams pancetta
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion
  • ¼ litre water
  • 6 juniper berries (optional)
  • ½ savoy cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons cream (or creme fraiche)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 can green lentils
  • 10⅗ ounces pancetta
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion
  • ⅖ pint water
  • 6 juniper berries (optional)
  • ½ savoy cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons cream (or creme fraiche)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

  • Heat the oil and add the chopped onion Sweat until translucent
  • Add the pancetta and cook until it crisps up, then add the garlic
  • Drain the lentils and add to the pan, add sufficient water to cover
  • Slightly crush the juniper berries and add to pan Stir
  • Sit the kale or chopped cabbage on top of the lentils so that it steams in the water
  • Once the kale is wilted remove from the heat, stir in the cream and season to taste Enjoy!
