Introduction

This is the best version of the classic Chocolate Chip

Ingredients

Serves: 0

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup broken walnuts

Method

  • Beat the butter and sugars until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Stop the mixer and scrape down the bowl and beaters.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and beat again.
  • Add the flour, baking soda, salt, choc chips and nuts. Beat well. Stop and scrape down again.
  • Drop by large tablespoons on a greased baking sheet, only 9 to a pan.
  • Bake at 350F for 12 - 14 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool on the sheet for a minute, then remove to rack.
