Introduction

Ideal for buffets and picnics.

Ingredients

Serves: 6-8

  • 454 grams shortcrust pastry
  • 227 grams sausagemeat
  • 2 large tomatoes (skinned and chopped)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 4 rashers chopped bacon
  • 1 sliced hard-boiled egg
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  • Line pie tin with pastry.
  • Mix together sausage meat tomatoes, onion, bacon and seasoning. Place on top of pastry base.
  • Arrange sliced egg over this and top with pastry lid.
  • Brush with milk and bake 45 mins in oven 5/190 C.
