Introduction

Extremely simple Brownie recipe, yes I admit not the healthiest! but in my house they are all gone within an afternoon of making them! Also this recipe makes a vast number so you can always half the amounts.

Ingredients

Serves: 30-50

  • 12 ounces all-purpose flour
  • 6 ounces unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pound butter (or margarine)
  • 2 pounds sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 8 eggs

Method

  • Pre Heat the oven to 180'C, 350'F or Gas Mark 4.
  • Cream the Butter & Sugar and add the Vanilla essence.
  • Add the Eggs, then the dry ingredients.
  • Mix well & pour the thick glossy mixture into a greased tin/tins.
  • Bake for approximately 25-30 mins until the top has cracked.
  • Cut into slabs while they are still warm and leave to cool on a rack.
  • Additional Information

    Oven times may vary but the Brownies should be cracked on top but moist (not soggy) inside.
