Ingredients

Serves: 6

Metric Cups
  • 100 grams cocoa powder
  • 150 grams butter
  • 200 grams walnuts (toasted for 5 minutes then chopped)
  • 350 grams sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 150 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 3½ ounces unsweetened cocoa
  • 5⅓ ounces butter
  • 7 ounces walnuts (toasted for 5 minutes then chopped)
  • 12⅜ ounces sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 5⅓ ounces flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Method

  • Heat the oven to 180 degree Celsius Stir butter and cocoa in a bowl over a pot of simmering water till smooth.
  • Beat eggs, sugar, flour until well-mixed. Add in cocoa and butter mixture, salt and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  • Pour batter into a greased 11x8x3 baking tin. Bake 10-15 minutes until a skewer inserted in the middle, come out clean.
  • Serve with cold vanilla ice-cream.
