Preheat oven to 180ºC Spread sesame seeds on a shallow baking tray and bake shaking frequently until fragrant (about 8-10 min) do not let them brown. Cool. Put sesame seeds into a food processor fitted with the metal blade. Add vegetable oil and process to a smooth paste (about 5 mins) Add more oil if needed to bring the tahini to a thick pouring consistency. Should keep stored in a tightly covered jar in the fridge for several months. (I've never kept it this long as it is gobbled up) Makes 3 cups Easy and fun to make.. Jen :)
