Hershey Kahlua Cake

Introduction

This is a light weight chocolate cake that has been passed down in my family.

Ingredients

Serves: 8-10

For the Cake

  • 1 packet swiss chocolate cake mix
  • 1 ball instant vanilla pudding
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup kahlua

For the Icing

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 large hershey bar
  • 12 ounces cool whip

  • sift cake mix and pudding together
  • In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, oil, and kahlua together add dry mixture beat well
  • pour into three pans bake at 325 or 350 until done, about 25 minutes
  • Icing

  • Beat all together until creamy
  • Grate the hershey bar and add to mixture
  • Fold in 12 ounces Cool Whip
  • Additional Information

    You can substitue the Hershey bar with other types of chocolate. I have used mint chocolate and it was wonderful!!!
