Thia is a great recipe...the spice mix is awesome! I buy lambfilets of 200 gr. each and and rub on the spicemix and leave them to marinate at least 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Serves: 2-4

Metric Cups
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (mild)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (mild)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Method

Flaming Grilled Lamb is a community recipe submitted by Krakra58 and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Mix the ingredients for the spicemix in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle the 2 lambchops with 1 tbs. spicemix. Keep the rest in an airtight box for later use.
  • Heat a grillplate tot medium heat. Rub on 1 tbsp. oil on the lambfilets and grill them 2-3 minutes on both sides for mediumrare or to taste.
  • Remove from heat and cover with aluminium foil and let them rest for 5 minutes before you slice them.
  • Serve with a roasted veggies salad like spinach, pumkin, olives,fetacheese and a dressing of garlic oil with some lemonjuice and some water, slat and pepper.
