Crispy, moist chicken that mimics deep fried fast food chicken, but much healthier.. and tastier! in my opinion! I am giving 2 options for quicker seasoning, but purists, use the other spice mixture.
For the Chicken
- 4 pounds chicken
- adobo seasoning
For the Coating
- 3 cups seasoned dried breadcrumbs (or crushed corn cereal flakes)
For the Marinade
- 2 cups buttermilk
- dry ranch salad dressing (add hot sauce to taste)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
- ½ teaspoon fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon tabasco (to taste)
- melted butter
