Exuberant recipe, kids and adults adore it equally. Not for the prudent or calorie´s shy.... Delicious, very Brazilian

Ingredients

Serves: 6

  • 5 eggs
  • 500 flour (wheat or plain)
  • 150 soft butter
  • 500 sugar
  • 250 maize flour (fuba)
  • 250 plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 500 goiabada (cubes, coated in flour)
  • 1 bottle coconut milk (a little bottle)
  • 125 sugar (for icing)

Method

  • Egg whites stiff, beat with 1/2 cup of the sugar and put aside;
  • In The electric mixer, whisk butter and 1 cup 1/2 sugar until pale, add egg yolks one at a time, cream;
  • Add the flower (2 kinds) mixed with the baking soda, mixing the yoghurt in the process. Add the egg whites you had aside and mix delicately.
  • Butter a round form (the kind with a hole in the middle), add half the batter, place the cubes of goiabada, add the remaining batter on top.
  • Bake. When still hot, add the coconut milk mixed with the sugar.
  • You can replace goiabada with any other marmalade or pieces of fruit preserve.
