Oat and Sage Burgers

Introduction

The title may not sound that interesting but having been a vegetarian all my life these burgers taste superb accompanied with fresh veg and gravy. Just try them!! Ps: the sage is vital!

Ingredients

Serves: 4 people

  • 10 ounces quick-cooking oats
  • 3 grated carrots
  • 5 ounces red leicester cheese (or any preferred cheese)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons dried sage
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Place the oats, grated carrot and grated cheese in a large bowl
  • Then add the eggs and the remaining ingredients and mix together well
  • Make into burger shapes and place in an oven at 190 degrees and cook for 20 - 25 minutes.
