Our answer

Nigella's Chocolate Salame (from NIGELLISSIMA) is an Italian version of rocky road bars or chocolate refrigerator cake. It is made with crunchy amaretti biscuits, almonds, pistachios and hazelnuts and flavoured with amaretto, which has a slightly almond flavour.

The amaretto liqueur can be omitted completely if you want to avoid alcohol. You could add a few drops of almond extract or vanilla extract instead, but go carefully. We would prefer to use natural extracts rather than flavourings. You may also like to try Nigella's [Christmas Rocky Road]((https://www.nigella.com/recipes/christmas-rocky-road) as a seasonal treat.
