Our answer

Nigella's Orange Scented Brioche Pudding (from FEAST) gets its flavour from a combination of orange marmalade and Grand Marnier (an orange flavoured liqueur). Nigella suggests using a fine shred/cut or "crystal" (shredless) marmalade. Unfortunately there is not really an orange flavoured alternative preserve that can be used as a substitute for marmalade.

If you can only find a marmalade with thicker pieces of orange rind in it then you could warm the marmalade gently until it is slightly runny and sieve it to remove the large chunks of rind. Cool the sieved marmalade and spread it over the brioche. You could also use apricot jam as na alternaive, though it will become Apricot Scented Brrioche Pudding instead.
