This Yule Log is my festive tribute to Nigella’s magic in the kitchen. Every year I turn to her recipes, and without fail they deliver, and this cake was no exception. My take on Nigella’s classic Yule Log barely made it to the Christmas table; it was devoured within minutes at my holiday party. There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about rolling up that chocolate sponge, swirling on the buttercream, and watching it transform into a log that feels straight out of a cosy Christmas storybook. It’s a showstopper that somehow still tastes like pure comfort. Nigella’s recipes have never led me astray, and her Tia Maria Christmas cake has become a firm tradition in my home. No December feels complete without it. This Yule Log is just another reminder of why her festive bakes have earned a permanent place in my celebrations.
