Inspired by the Bake Off technical challenge, in which Nigella was utterly fabulous, this three-tier coffee cake, with fluffy buttercream filling and rubbly walnut pieces, is a family favourite. Yet another of her recipes that has earned Nigella her rightful place at the dinner table of our extended family, on which her recipes have long become something of a regular fixture! Long live the Lawson!
