This is everything I want a cookbook to be: warm, welcoming, inspiring. I have never been to a New York restaurant of the same name, but travelling there in these pages is joy enough; Jody Williams is my perfect kitchen companion. Selecting just one recipe out of the many that clamoured for your attention was difficult I have settled on the dish that I salivate over most: Oxtail Marmalade;. This is a gorgeously rich concoction to be spread — I would suggest — on toasted sourdough.
