Story goes this salad is what American composer/lyricist Cole Porter supped on while living at the Waldorf/Astoria Hotel in New York in the 1930's. The original recipe did not have Stilton.
- 2 cubed red apples
- 2 cubed green apples
- 2 sticks chopped celery
- 125 millilitres golden raisins
- 250 millilitres currants
- 250 millilitres mayonnaise
- 125 millilitres sour cream (light, or creme fraiche)
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 227 grams crumbled stilton cheese

In large bowl combine all ingredients save the Stilton. Mix. Crumble Stilton over top and gently fold in not to break up crumbles. Chill.
