Faye's Perogies

Introduction

This is a delicious simple recipe my sister in law gave me; she's since passed away so I named them after her. I serve it at my holiday dinners; my friends son nicknamed them "crack" perogies because they're so addictive.

Ingredients

Serves: This is a double recipie

  • 2 pounds bacon
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 cans celery soup
  • 2 cans cream of broccoli soup
  • 1 can water
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 packets cheese perogies

Method

  • Chop the bacon and the onions.
  • Fry together until the onions have caramelized, drain excess fat.
  • Add soups and water and cook until combined, it should look like a gravy.
  • Cook the perogies in salted water and place in a shallow casserole dish, cover with melted butter and the sauce.
  • Additional Information

    They shouldn't sit too long before serving or the perogies get soggy.
