Ingredients

Serves: 1

Metric Cups
  • 10 raw king shrimp
  • ¼ packet egg noodles
  • 3 chopped scallions
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 splash of soy sauce
  • 1 splash of thai fish sauce (nam pla)
  • chopped cilantro
  • peanut oil (or vegetable oil for frying)
  • 10 raw king prawns
  • ¼ packet egg noodles
  • 3 chopped spring onions
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 splash of soy sauce
  • 1 splash of thai fish sauce (nam pla)
  • chopped fresh coriander
  • peanut oil (or vegetable oil for frying)

Method

King Prawn Noodles is a community recipe submitted by bonbon and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Firstly, if you have raw prawns, peel, clean and de-vein.
  • Chop the scallions, garlic and cilantro and put to one side boil the kettle and in a bowl place the dried noodles and pour over boiling water. Leave for a couple of mins until soft but not soggy. Drain through a sieve and rinse in cold water....Put to one side.
  • In a wok or heavy based pan, add the oil and gently fry the scallions, add the soy sauce then prawns. Fry these for a couple of mins before adding the garlic.
  • Cook off the garlic a little then add the noodles. stir fry for a few minutes. Add the oyster sauce, fish sauce and cilantro. Heat through then serve! mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!
