- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 10 curry leaves
- ½ kilogram white fish
- 200 litres coconut milk
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 tomatoes (quartered)
- 3 green chillies (slit and deseeded)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons chilli powder
- 4 tablespoons tamarind
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds

- 1⅛ pounds white fish
- 352 pints coconut milk
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 tomatoes (quartered)
- 3 green chiles (slit and deseeded)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 4 tablespoons tamarind
- 2 tablespoons oil
